I am a 33 year old wife, and mother of 2 boys. After 5 long years of testing, x-rays, MRI’s, being told that I was just depressed, or that it was all in my head, I finally got a confirmed diagnosis of Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease at the age of 32. This is my first year of learning what I am dealing with. Chronicling the personal, and family challenges that have been, and will be dealt with on a daily basis. This blog is a personal account of my family’s and my personal journey as we try to navigate our way through life with an incurable, degenerative disease. I hope to expose the real face of YOPD, the good, bad, ugly, depressed, marginalized, and pissed off.
